Weekly worship is offered at 7:00 pm on Thursdays, 8:30 am and 10:45 am on Sundays. From Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend, the 10:45 am Sunday worship service changes to start at 10:00 am. During the season of Lent the Thursday service moves to Saturdays at 5:30 pm. There are also additional weekly Vesper services at 7:00 pm on Wednesdays during Lent.
Worship at Christ Our Savior is liturgical in style, contemporary in application, and relaxed yet reverant in atmosphere. The focus in on what God has done, is doing, and will do for all people in Christ. We apply God's Word to real life.
A typical worship service begins with an opportunity for worshipers to greet each other. There is singing, praying, Scripture readings, children's messages, sermons, and the use of the Sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion.
7:00 pm Thursday evening services follow the same Scripture, Sacrament, and sermon schedule as the Sundays they precede. They are considerably less formal and thus more in keeping with the smaller number of worshippers.
The Sacrament of Holy Communion is celebrated in the worship services on second and fourth Sundays of the month (and the Thursdays which precede those Sundays). It is also celebrated in the worship services on Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, and Christmas Day. Private communion is available by request in consultation with the pastor (email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org).
The Sacrament of Holy Baptism is administered in the worship services upon request in consultation with one of our pastors (email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org). For more information and application forms see the Life Passages page of our website.
Most worship services include a time for the children to gather in the front of the sanctuary with a worship leader for a message geared to their understanding.
Kids' Church is held in rooms 100-104 during part of the late Sunday services. Singing, prayer, a special message tailored to their understanding, and a craft are typically part of the experience. Kids' Church is for kindergarten through fourth grade. Children are also welcome to remain the sanctuary for the entire worship service.
The late Sunday services always have a staffed nursery available to families with small children.
Prayers of the Church
